Many people are in the same situation as you. 30 percent interset on a credit card is simply to high.  My suggestion is to call your credit card company and tell them if you rate is not lowered you will close your account.  If you have a 700 credit score you should have no problem opening up an new credit card with a lower interest rate and transfering the balance.
It is time for you to play hard ball with your credit card company.

		<description>I am being charged 30% interest on 1 of my credit cards because of sending in my payment late a couple times.  I live in Michigan and I am layed off.  My credit score is over 700.  This seems very very high to me no mater what the circumstances.  Is there any actions I can take against the lender.</description>
